Database Administrator

• 1.Maintenance of Databases.
• 2.Administration of databases on HP UNIX and Microsoft Windows servers both globally.
• 3.Perform necessary database maintenance and database software upgrades, i.e., security patches, database upgrades; etc.
• 4.Monitor databases to assure proper performance levels are met.
• 5.Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
• 6.Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
• 7.Recommend improvements, modifications, upgrades and security options where applicable.

• 1.A good understanding of the UNIX, Windows operating system, physical database design & database security management.
• 2.A strong knowledge of ALL database backup and recovery scenarios.
• 3.A good knowledge of how the database acquires and manages resources.
• 4.Must collaborate and interface with various constituents around the world.
• 5.Bachelor Degree and/or 3-5 years direct related experience.
